St. Joseph County Election Board On YouTube

The video deals with the documented failure of St. Joseph County to count more than 500 votes cast in the November 2006 general election. Citizens have been in contact with the St. Joseph County Election Board since January without a satisfactory explanation or resolution to the issue.

It's important to understand that registered candidates from several parties, both major and minor, were denied the legitimate votes cast for them.

Moreover, only 7 of 77 provisional ballots cast in St. Joseph County were counted. Of course, it is possible that these 70 votes were appropriately discounted. However, verification is impossible because at their April meeting the St. Joseph County Election Board refused to discuss their documented failures any further.

It also remains to be discovered whether or not absentee and or military absentee votes were accurately counted. The documented failure to count more than 500 votes suggests there is a need for additional investigation.

Of course, if provisional, absentee, and military absentee votes were not fully and accurately counted, this could mean that votes for candidates in all races may not have been counted. Again, verification is impossible because the St. Joseph County Election Board refuses to discuss the issue further.

Several articles dealing with these issues have appeared in the South Bend Tribune and can be found here:
