Minutes of St. Joe Valley Greens

Call to Order
Karl Hardy called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM, at Another Bookstore and GLBT Center in 100 Center, Mishawaka, IN.
Members Present: Karl Hardy, Tom Brown, Lance Howard.
Guests Present: Lily Hoang, Judith and Jim Wrobleski.
Guest Speakers: David Hurley and Waldo Carrasco, representatives from Michiana Community Currency Initiative.
Coordinator's Report
Kathleen could not attend the meeting so there was no Coordinator's report.
IGP Delegate Report
Dave Vollrath was not present. Dave is teaching a class at IUSB every Thursday this semester. Karl attended the IGP teleconference on Saturday, Dec. 13.
Treasurer's Report
Lance Howard gave the current fund balances:
- Special savings $1241.81
- Political Fund $249.95
- Share Draft $185.81
GreenTV Report
Karl and Tom videotaped the recent CAFO ordinance information meeting at the public library. The two are currently editing the first of two shows about the proposed ordinance. Karl is helping produce these shows and has begun to learn non-linear editoring.
Progressive Discussion Group
The discussion group will not meet in December. It will resume again in January. Karl founded the group and is actively organizing it. Members are considering two meetings per month instead of one.
New Business
Annual Congress: The group set a tenative date for the yearly Congress, Saturday, January 20. The site will be determined based on the projected turnout. The GBLT Center is available if there are too many participants to meet in one of our homes. The start time and agenda will be announced in the Green Notes newsletter.
Next Meeting
The annual Congress replaces the regular January meeting.
Adjournment
Karl adjourned the meeting at 9:00 PM.
